Mahachanok Mango (Banana Mango):

• Origin: This variety of mango is from Thailand and is often referred to as the “Banana Mango” due to its shape, which is somewhat slender and elongated, resembling a banana. It’s also known for its incredibly sweet, juicy, and non-fibrous flesh.
• Grafted Plant: A grafted Mahachanok Mango means that the top part (scion) is from the Mahachanok mango tree, and it is grafted onto the rootstock of another mango variety. Grafting helps the tree grow faster and bear fruit earlier, often in 2-3 years (compared to 5–6 years for non-grafted trees).

Growing Conditions:

• Climate: Like most mango trees, the Mahachanok mango prefers warm, tropical to subtropical climates. It requires temperatures between (21°C) and (45°C) for optimal growth.
• Sunlight: These trees need full sun to thrive and produce the best fruit.
• Soil: Well-drained soil is essential, ideally sandy loam or a mix of loamy soil with good drainage. Mango trees don’t like standing water, so avoid areas prone to flooding.
• Watering: Water the plant regularly, especially during dry spells, but ensure the soil doesn’t become waterlogged. Young trees need consistent moisture, while mature trees are more drought-tolerant.
• Pruning: Grafted mango trees tend to grow vigorously, so occasional pruning is important to maintain shape and encourage better fruit production.
